CTE programs in spotlight at State Capitol

Students and staff from Marshalltown High School promoted Career and Technical Education programs on February 7 at the State Capitol in Des Moines. Career and Technical Education programs took on the spotlight on February 7 at the State Capitol in Des Moines and Marshalltown High School was well represented.

Students and teachers from the new Introduction to Education and Foods III classes at MHS promoted the classes to legislators and other CTE programs in Iowa. The students spoke with local legislators Senator Jeff Edler and Representative Dean Fisher about their learning and informed them about work-based learning opportunities at MHS.

The group also met Governor Kim Reynolds and witnessed her sign a proclamation declaring February as CTE Month.
