Families choose a book to take home as part of Family Reading Night at Hoglan Elementary School on November 16.
Hoglan Elementary School hosted Family Reading Night on November 16. Pete the Cat author Eric Litwin visited Hoglan on November 15 and entertained students and staff with song and dance connected to literature. Students were excited and motivated from this visit and the fun continued at Family Reading Night the next night.
At the event, families enjoyed creating button art, watercolor painting, rocking in their white shoes like Pete the Cat, playing games, creating cat ear headbands, singing and dancing, listening to guest readers share stories by Eric Litwin and much more.
Pizza was served to all those who attended and all children chose a book to take home.
