
The cast of the Marshalltown High School musical “Cinderella” sings during the final scene of the show on November 10. Two performances were held and well received by the audience.
The tradition of top-notch musicals produced by Marshalltown High School continued with performances of “Cinderella” on November 10 and 11 at the MHS/Community Auditorium.
The musical featured singing, dancing, a pit orchestra, acting and more and was well received by the audience for both nights.
MHS senior Hadley Wagner dazzled in the role of Cinderella. Other lead roles in the musical included Lucas Thiessen as Prince Charming, Olivia Stone as Stepmother, Yatnia Hernandez as Portia, Bella Russell as Joy, Carissa King as Fairy Godmother, Luke Pedersen as King, Kassie Wilkins as Queen and Eli Thiessen as the Herald/Town Crier.
The show was co-directed by Heather Lee and Amy Ose. Brett Umthun led the pit orchestra and Grant Gale was the technical director.
“The show could not have gone better,” Lee said. “All our students and volunteers did a great job. The audiences seemed to enjoy the show each night with high compliments. We could not be more proud. Thank you to all who came and showed their support.”
