Students in the seventh grade math classes taught by Lisa LaVelle at Miller Middle School presented special projects on May 19.
The students displayed their work on special event planning and fundraising. Math skills came in handy as they made sure their expenses didn’t outweigh their income for the event they planned.
“The students coordinated all the ins and outs of an event of their choice, while making sure they had a profit,” LaVelle said.
