Fisher Elementary School third grader Madison Myers has impressed her teacher Julie Trickett with her learning growth this year.
“She has shown tremendous growth as a reader this year, both in comprehension and fluency,” Trickett said.
This growth was evident during a recent project she did on whales. The 8-year-old was able to research facts about whales with a Chromebook in her class and package together an extensive report about whales with more than 100 facts.
“She worked hard to find the answers to her questions by searching for information that she did not know the answers to through Chromebook usage,” Trickett said.
Myers said she enjoyed doing the project.
“There’s a lot of different types of whales,” Myers said. “They are fun to learn about.”
