Marshalltown High School has announced the hiring of Don Knock as the new head football coach of the Bobcats.
Knock brings a wealth of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level and most recently has served as offensive line coach at Grand View University. Knock’s hiring was approved by the Marshalltown Community School District Board of Education during a meeting Monday.
MHS Activities Director Craig Huegel said Knock has a passion for working with students and a vision to get more students involved in the sport.
Knock’s recent work experience includes six years as athletic director for the Gilbert Community School District. He is a member of the Iowa Football Coaches Hall of Fame and led Grundy Center to the Class 2A state football title in 1984.
He is a former Central College football player.
