Six Marshalltown High School students and recent graduates earned AP Scholar designations in recognition of their high scores on Advanced Placement Examinations.
Seniors Chandler Fisher and Ellen Podhajsky were both named AP Scholars for receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
Isaac Medina, Class of 2014, was named an AP Scholar with Honor for receiving an average score of 3.25 on all AP exams taken, or a score of 3 or higher on four or more exams. Medina is now a student at the University of Iowa.
Abby Snyder, Adam Willman and Sean Finn, all 2014 graduates, were named AP Scholars with Distinction. This recognition goes to students receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, or scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.
Snyder is attending Colby College in Maine, Willman is attending Iowa State University and Finn is a student at the University of Iowa.
