Not only did Emerson/Fisher make a $250,000 donation to the Roundhouse renovation, but Emerson is also bringing in a world-renowned band to take the stage at the Marshalltown High School Auditorium on Friday, Aug. 22!
The Return is a Beatles cover band known to be one of the best in the country! The group started when four young friends started playing their favorite Beatles tunes together, and now they’ve mastered not only the music but also the show—getting the signature moves, moptops, and makings of John, Paul, George and Ringo just right!
The group’s home base is near Atlanta, Ga. Since their early start in 1995, they’ve played thousands of shows across the United States as well as in many other countries. Highlights include performing a show at Abbey Road Studios in London, England and headlining the 40th anniversary celebration of the Beatles’ visit to Tokyo.
“The Return is the ideal band to celebrate the transformation of the Roundhouse!” says Paul Gregoire, Vice President of Global Human Resources at Emerson/Fisher. “Built in 1964, the Roundhouse was in its glory days at the same time the Beatles were. It’s going to be a surreal experience to step back in time at the show and then step out to see the Roundhouse and the bright future ahead!”
The concert will be held at the Marshalltown High School/Community Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22. The number of tickets is limited, so it’s recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are available at Hy-Vee, Fareway, Zeno’s, Great Western Bank (both locations), Sports Page, Tremont Grille, and the Chamber of Commerce. Each ticket is $15, and every dollar will benefit the Roundhouse renovation.
At the concert, the winner of the vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle raffle will be drawn. Those raffle tickets are $20 per ticket and can also be purchased at Hy-Vee, Great Western Bank (both locations) and Sports Page.
