More than 1,200 additional computers will be headed to the Marshalltown Community School District for student use next school year.
As part of what school leaders are calling a digital conversion, the district plans to purchase 1,248 Acer Chromebooks. The small, inexpensive laptops will be utilized by students in grades fifth through eighth in the district, but will remain at the schools and not taken home by students.
