
MHS senior Paola Diaz receives the Best in Show: 3D Artwork award at the CIML Art Show held Wednesday, April 9, at Marshalltown High School.
Marshalltown High School hosted the CIML Art Show Wednesday, with MHS students earning three blue ribbons, five honorable mentions, and Best in Show for 3D artwork.
Ames, Fort Dodge, Waukee, West Des Moines and Mason City showcased the best of their student artwork along with Marshalltown. Art teachers selected the pieces to be presented at the CIML show where retired art educator Will Hildebrandt served as judge. In addition to the judged categories there were students’ choice and teachers’ choice awards.
In the morning students toured the art collection at Fisher Community Center and visited the Marshalltown Community College art and design departments.
