The Marshalltown High School Athletic Department is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Veterans Night on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.
All veterans and any active member of the armed forces are invited to join us as we recognize the sacrifices that our military makes for us.
Richard Ortega, a veteran and current Woodbury Elementary teacher who recently returned home from Afghanistan, will be recognized between the varsity girls and varsity boys game (approximately 7:15pm).
All veterans and a spouse will be admitted free of charge as they enter the ticket gate area on the east side of the Roundhouse. The north bleacher area will be reserved for all veterans to be seated and recognized as a group in between games.
The MHS National Anthem Singers will present a special Armed Forces Salute, and the MHS pep band will be performing patriotic numbers during the games.
