Members of the Marshalltown High School Dance Team competed at the Iowa State Dance/Drill Team Association (ISDTA) Solo Competition Nov. 2 in Newton, bringing home four Division I ratings in their debut performance at the contest.
Katie Gassman, Sydney Grewell, Sydney Kenner and Kathleen McHenry all competed at the state contest, performing solos ranging from lyrical to jazz routines. Dance Team Coach Shea Stalzer says the team is now preparing for the state team competition, where they will showcase pom and jazz routines.
