The Bobcat Marching Band placed fourth out of 20 bands at the Waukee Marching Invitational Saturday, Oct. 19.
Performing before a crowd of thousands, the band gave its best performance of the year, placing third among the 12 Class 4A bands competing and coming within 0.1 points of an overall third place finish.

The Bobcat Band will hold its Annual Pasta Dinner on Monday, Oct. 28, from 5-8 p.m. in the MHS Cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from a Bobcat Band student or at the door. Proceeds will be used for the 2015-2016 Bobcat Marching Band with possible destinations of Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif., Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City or the Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, Ariz., with the destination to be determined based on acceptance from the appropriate trip committee with the Tournament of Roses being the top choice destination.
