The Bobcat Marching Band placed third out of 18 bands at the fourth annual Marching Dutch Invitational held in Pella Saturday, Sept. 28.
The band placed third among 4A schools and scored a 73.8, which is a low division I behind Newton at 76.0 and Ankeny at 80.0. The guard finished 2nd overall with a score of 76 out of 100 behind Ankeny with a score of 85 out of 100.
The band travels to Fort Dodge on Saturday, Oct. 12, to compete in the IHSMA State Marching Band Festival. They seek their 13th consecutive Division I rating and perform at 2:45pm at Dodger Stadium.
