Several back-to-school events and orientations are planned in August.
On Thursday, Aug. 15, Marshalltown High School will hold Freshmen/New Student Orientation from 4pm to 5:30pm. Students will be able to meet staff, find their lockers and tour the school.
Also on Thursday, Aug. 15, Miller Middle School will hold two orientations for incoming students and families. Seventh grade orientation is 5-6pm. Eighth grade orientation is 6-7pm.
Lenihan Intermediate School will hold parent orientation Thursday, Aug. 15, at 5:30pm.
Back to School Night will be Monday, Aug. 19, starting at 4:30pm for Lenihan and 5pm for all six elementary schools.
The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 20, and will be a one-hour early dismissal day. The first day of preschool is Tuesday, Aug. 27.
