Seven Miller Middle School students had their artwork selected for display in the Lennox Industries offices for the 2013-2014 school year.
The artwork, ranging from drawing and painting to sculpture, was selected from the pieces on display at the Fisher Community Center during Youth Art Month.
“The students at Miller Middle School are very creative and interested in the arts,” said Stephanie Lane, seventh grade art teacher. “It is a privilege for the students’ work to be displayed at Lennox.”
Miller students have such an interest in art that the school has an active Art Club with 40 members. The group meets monthly after school.
Lindsay Delagardelle, eighth grade art teacher, says she’s impressed not only by the artwork the students create, but by their overall art appreciation.
“They have a full appreciation of the arts and their creativity continues to amaze me,” she asid. “I look forward to continuing our partnership with Lennox and the Marshalltown community.”
Lennox is a business partner with Miller Middle School and the art display is an annual tradition. Students whose artwork was chosen are:
- Fatima Hernandez – 8th grade
- Ashley Avalos – 8th grade
- Edwin Guevara – 8th grade
- Jordan Teixeira – 8th grade
- Daniel Vargas – 7th grade
- Cathy Fernandez – 7th grade
- Emily Hass – 7th grade
