Hoglan Penny Wars net $3,213.54 in one week for MPD K-9 Unit

Hoglan Principal Amy Williams hands a check to Marshalltown Police Chief Mike Tupper for the penny war her school held in support of the MPD K-9 Unit.

Hoglan Elementary staff, students and families had a penny war recently, collecting more than $3,200 in one week.

The money raised was donated to the Marshalltown Police Department K-9 Unit. Sgt. Melinda Ruopp, her K-9 partner, Awol, and other members of the MPD visited Hoglan today to accept the donation.
