Twelve Miller Middle School students competed against 34 other schools at the Regional Mathcounts Competition Thursday, Feb. 21, in Des Moines.
Miller placed 18th out of 34 middle schools from around central Iowa. Seventh grader Lucas Thiessen scored in the top 25 percent of all 228 students, ranking 41st overall.
