The Bobcat Boys Swim team held their annual Change for Charity drive in December, with proceeds benefiting the Emergency Food Box.
Each season from Thanksgiving to Winter Break the team collects change for a local charity selected by the senior members of the team. Each week the team holds a contest for the most change, with the winners treated to homemade chocolate chip cookies baked by Coach Mike Loupee.
Week 1 Contest: Seniors vs. Juniors vs. Sophomores vs. Freshmen
Winner: Seniors – $87.71
Week 2 Contest: Random Groups
Winning group collected $65.55
Week 3 Contest: Coaches and managers vs. Team
Winner: Coaches and managers – $43.87
Week 4 Contest: Lane Groups
Winner: Lane 3 – $112.32
The combined collection, $481.31, was donated to the Emergency Food Box.
