Following in his father’s footsteps, Marshalltown High School sophomore Carl Giannetto hopes to have a future in stand-up comedy.
The 16-year-old has already performed at open mic nights and hopes to further his career in the next few years.
“Since my dad (Mark) was a stand-up comedian I thought I’d give it a try,” Giannetto said. “I just like being able to make somebody laugh at something I wrote.”
