Collin Krukow
Collin Krukow, eighth grade student at Miller Middle School, has been selected to participate in the 2012 Eighth Grade Iowa All-State Honor Band.
The Iowa Bandmasters Association will sponsor the eighty-fifth annual Eighth Grade Iowa All-State Honor Band on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Hotel Des Moines Marriot.
Members of the honor band are selected through an audition process. Krukow was one of more than 2,100 students who auditioned for the honor band. The All-State Band is made up of 132 of the best eighth grade instrumental musicians in the state of Iowa.
Krukow will spend the day rehearsing and working with a world-class director in preparation for a concert that afternoon for parents and the community.
