The Iowa Poetry Association has selected works by two Marshalltown High School students for their annual anthology, Lyrical Iowa.
Zach Leeper and Zach Shipley were among 36 student poets selected among 460 entries in the high school division. Lyrical Iowa is a publication of the Iowa Poetry Association, “a non-profit organization whose sole objective is to promote interest in and appreciation for better poetry by Iowans.”
Leeper’s short poem, “Watch Them Pass”, and Shipley’s “The Loon” will be included in the anthology.
